Long term continuous methane monitoring at an oil and gas plant

We are pleased to announce our latest joint publication with Shell Global Solutions, in Nature Scientific Reports. The paper details a new method for continuous methane emissions monitoring at an oil and gas site. Data collected over a three month period by Mirico’s methane sensor was processed using a Bayesian analysis algorithm using Monte Carlo Markov Chain (MCMC) inference. The long term data collected led to the identification of unexpected low intensity persistent sources (<1 kg/h) at the site.
